Whats the role
Global Transaction Services (GTS) deliver innovative and reliable transaction banking solutions across domestic and international markets while also managing the payment infrastructure for the entire Westpac this role youll lead the Business Controls & Monitoring (BCM) Advisory function for Global Transaction Services guiding a high-performing team to deliver best-in-class risk management. From control uplift to incident remediation youll shape how risk is understood owned and embedded across the business. Youll partner with senior leaders advise on strategic initiatives and ensure our frameworks not only meet regulatory standards they set the benchmark. This is a leadership role with real impact where your expertise will drive business resilience innovation and continuous improvement.
What do I need

To find success in this role youll need:

  • Extensive experience in risk management compliance and control frameworks within complex environments preferably within payments and transactional banking.
  • Proven leadership capability with a track record of building and inspiring high-performing teams.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and advisory skills with the ability to influence at GM level.
  • Strategic thinking and sound judgement with a hands-on approach to solving problems and driving outcomes.
  • Demonstrated success in embedding proactive risk culture and delivering uplift across products processes and programs.
