Major Duties:
Interacts with technology product management and operations to understand analyze and translate business requirements into functional solutions to reduce costs or improve processes or services.
Reviews existing systems processes and problems and recommends were system functionality automation or improved processes can be implemented.
Coordinates testing of new systems and systems modifications.
Provides on-going project support and assists in project planning by estimating and managing work effort.
Prepares materials and manuals and provides training to partners related to system or process changes.
Provides business partners with ongoing technical support and acts as a trouble-shooter. Conducts feasibility studies and defines and designs system requirements for complex data processing projects.
Knowledge:
Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
Highly flexible and adaptable to change
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Technical skills / systems knowledge (e.g. SQL Python PowerBI xCeptor and/or Alteryx) is required
A positive goal orientated attitude with a focus on delivery
Strong interest in working with business teams to deliver sustainable solutions
Understanding of Financial Services and specifically hedge fund operations is preferred
Having worked within a structured SDLC a plus (Atlassian or Azure DevOps tools especially)
Experience:
A College or University degree in computer science or information systems is preferred

Salary Range:
$78945 - 134235 USDSalary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension) health and welfare benefits (medical dental vision spending accounts and disability) paid time off parental and caregiver leave life & accident insurance and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
