An AV or technical background will serve you well as you program operate and maintain high- fidelity mannequins and simulation equipment while a medical background will give you an edge in understanding clinical this highly team-oriented role youll partner closely with team members to support day-to-day operations manage and stock equipment and contribute to the development of new task trainers and simulation tools. Essential Functions

  • Assists in developing training materials and provides training within scope of practice.

  • Plans and develops course or training program content for appropriate area. Evaluates the effectiveness of training and makes modifications to course materials and simulation programming.

  • Programs and operates simulation equipment as a method of teaching.

  • Troubleshoots and maintains simulation equipment.

  • Communicates and collaborates with other members of the health care team departments divisions and other agencies to ensure continuity and coordination of services.

  • Participates in department hospital and system-wide committees as member or consultant. (8%)

  • Utilizes quality improvement research studies and national best practice guidelines in order to design/evaluate practice processes systems tools and resources.

  • Ensures that services are provided in accordance with state and Federal regulations organizational policy and accreditation / compliance requirements.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent in health care related field

  • 3 years of health care related experience

  • CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association upon hire

Preferred

  • 2 years of relevant experience in the field of simulation

  • LIC-Paramedic License - State of Michigan

  • CRT-Basic Life Support Instructor (BLS INSTR) - American Heart Association within 180 days after hire

  • CRT - Adv Cardiovascular Life Support Instructor (ACLS INSTR) - American Heart Association within 180 days after hire

  • CRT - Pediatric Adv Life Support Instructor (PALS INSTR) - American Heart Association within 180 days after hire
