The duties and responsibilities of the Senior Technical Support Officer (E&S) include:
Lead the implementation of E&S frameworks assessments and management plans across projects including labor management waste management Sexual Exploitation Abuse and Sexual Harassment prevention workplace safety and stakeholder engagement.
Mainstream social inclusion principlesgender equality disability inclusioninto project design and implementation.
Develop implement and maintain the projects Environment & Social (E&S) Standards SOP/Manual ensuring integration of cross-cutting themes and compliance with donor and national requirements.
Conduct regular monitoring visits to service sites to ensure compliance with infection prevention and control (IPC) standards PPE usage and Health Care Waste Management (HCWM) practices.
Ensure that all SCH staff consultants GPs and community volunteers receive appropriate training on Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Health Care Waste Management (HCWM) SEA/SH prevention conflict sensitivity and Do No Harm principles and that these are applied effectively in their work.
Maintain accurate records of E&S activities incidents and corrective actions and prepare timely donor and organizational reports.
Strengthen community engagement processes including functional grievance redress mechanisms and inclusive consultation particularly with vulnerable or marginalized groups.
Conduct regular monitoring and supervision visits to private sector clinics and community volunteers to assess and improve provider practices productivity and adherence to SCH quality and E&S standards.
Facilitate coordination between SCH providers Sun Clinics and partner organizations for referrals joint outreach and awareness activities.
Ensure timely complete and accurate case reporting from private providers and community activities related to project implementation.
Review and validate monthly reports consultation records and stock reports ensuring timely submission to regional and national teams.
Support continuous medical education (CME) sessions related with the E&S review meetings and the dissemination of technical updates and information education and communication (IEC) materials.
Prepare and submit regular progress updates and situation reports to supervisors.
Serve as the E&S focal point within the Program Management Team providing cross1cutting oversight to ensure that all SCH project implementation align with donor and organizational environmental and social requirements and that E&S compliance reports are submitted on a monthly or quarterly basis as required.
Perform any other duties or tasks as assigned by supervisors to support the effective implementation of project activities.
Qualifications :
Any graduate with at least 3 years of management experience in health-related projects (M.B. B.S. degree from a recognized university is preferred but not mandatory).
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in health program implementation outreach or provider supervision.
Experience in supply chain management case reporting or private sector engagement is an advantage.
Experience in health program settings especially on waste management OHS and SEA/SH prevention is strongly preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint and comfortable with digital reporting systems.
Strong facilitation and training skills with experience in community engagement and conflict-sensitive programming.
Deliverables or Appraisal Considerations: The Senior Technical Support Officer will be appraised based on the ability to:
1. Quarterly (Monthly if needed) E&S monitoring reports including site visit findings compliance status and corrective actions.
2. Training sessions conducted for SCH staff GPs consultants and community volunteers on OHS HCWM SEA/SH prevention conflict sensitivity and Do No Harm.
3. Updated records of E&S activities incidents grievance and resolutions.
4. Documentation of stakeholder consultations and community feedback. 5. Timely submission of E&S inputs to the supervisors and program teams.
