About the Role 

The Ground Engineering and Tunnelling team provides services ranging from feasibility studies detailed design and construction supervision for geotechnical works. The team supports internal and external clients on a wide variety of projects predominantly in road rail airports renewable energy commercial and industrial developments landslip investigation and remediation throughout ANZ and the Middle East.

As a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer you will be required to share your time between site and office tasks gaining valuable experience as you work through the various phases of projects from commencement to completion.  With geotechnical engineering being a part of so many projects you will interact with other design disciplines stakeholders end clients and contractors as the project dictates and have the opportunity for short to longer term interstate or overseas travel if you desire.

How youll make a difference:

• Contribute to geotechnical design projects from early concept and options analysis through to detailed design with site work and travel across Victoria and occasionally to other parts of ANZ.
• Support project teams on a wide range of engineering works including earthworks foundations pavements maritime structures dredging slope stabilisation and transport infrastructure such as bridges and embankments.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers and learn from technical experts while developing your professional skills.
• Work within a global multi-disciplinary organisation and gain exposure to AECOMs international technical practice network connecting with specialists and thought leaders across the world.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors Degree: Relevant tertiary qualification (Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or similar) with a strong interest in geotechnical engineering.
• Graduate Year: You must have completed your studies and have graduated before starting the program.
• Commencement: You must be able to commence work by February 2026. We are open to mid-year finishers who are able to commence by July 2026.
• Drivers Licence: As the role includes travel throughout Victoria and occasional trips within the wider ANZ region you must hold a valid Australian drivers licence.
