Pay: $16.00-$19.49 per hour based upon applicable on the job patient care experience shift premiums when working afternoons overnights and weekend shifts

Position Purpose:

The PCA under the direction of a registered nurse is responsible for direct patient care considering age specific developmental cultural and spiritual needs. They assist in establishing and maintaining a patient care environment that is clean safe and conducive to patient/family wellbeing including concepts of relationship-based care.
Training is provided to prepare our colleagues for success. The PCA assists patient in completing ADLs including: Bathing showering toileting positioning turning transferring ambulation using assistive devices and with feeding and menu selection. They are responsible to record patient information and required data in appropriate areas in order to meet documentation requirements.
The Intensive Care Unit at Chelsea is a six bed adult unit caring for patients that are critically ill medical-surgical patients requiring cardiac monitoring invasive/non-invasive ventilation and drips.
Shifts Available: Day Shift - 7:00am-5:30pm
Status Available: Part time benefit eligible (40 hours per pay period every two weeks)
Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
Required Qualifications
High school diploma GED or a minimum of 18 years of age.
Recent experience desired.
