The SPED Teachers role will be to create a supportive learning environment in which to help students meet their learning goals. Through interesting and diverse methods successful strategies to reach IEP goals and access grade-level curriculum. They oversee student progress by tracking assignment and exam grades in order to provide useful feedback. WCPA teachers are results-driven educators with experience in and commitment to standards-based curriculum and the use of data and assessments to drive instructional decisions.

Qualifications :
- Bachelors Degree required
- A California Education Specialist Credential (mild/mod); PIP/STSP/waivers will be considered.
- Familiarity with and/or the ability to learn SIRUS IEP writing and Special Ed Reporting Software
- Familiarity with and/or the ability to learn RTI co-teaching collaboration Push-In Pull-out Learning Lab Intervention and small-group teaching models.
- Demonstrated mastery of classroom skills including classroom management planning assessment and instructional practice
- Proficiency with various technologies and teaching tools
- Bilingual ability preferred
Skills Knowledge:
- Preparing and implementing lesson plans that lead to student understanding based on state standards
- Providing an effective learning environment that reflects and facilitates student achievement
- Assessing student progress and maintaining accurate records
- Writing and conducting IEPs and facilitating IEP meetings
- Proctoring Formal Assessments
- Updating service logs and files
- Communicating with partnering agencies
- Participating in SST Meetings
- Maintaining frequent communication with students students families colleagues and leadership
- Participating regularly in professional development opportunities
- Appropriately communicating and interacting with other professional staff in academic planning and school committee work.
- Attending and participating in staff meetings and extra-curricular/school-related activities and committees.
- Demonstrating a commitment to continuous professional growth and working with administrators to formulate and complete professional development plans.
- Maintaining a professional appearance and demonstrating behavior that is conscientious and responsible.
Pay Range: $66745.12 - $110152.35. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
