Manager of the Center for Preparatory Studies

Manager performs the following work duties:

1. preparation and execution of documents on issues within the competence of the CPS;               
2. implementation of interaction and correspondence with students and academic staff of the CPS on issues within the competence of the CPS;
3. participation in the recruitment campaign to attract potential attendants in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan and abroad (presentations in the regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan international educational exhibitions);
4. participation in the organization of the Nazarbayev University entrance test in the regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan and abroad;
5. preparation of the academic schedule of the Center for Preparatory Studies of the University entering the schedule into the Registrar system supporting schedule changes during the semester as requested;
6. maintenance and updating of the database of the Schools students including work on maintaining the database in the Power BI program;
7. preparation of data on the student contingent of the Center for Preparatory Studies of the University (official statistics collection and collation of required data reporting);
8. supervising all types of assessment activities for students of the Schools Programs throughout the academic year: assisting academic staff in organizing examinations (seating plan timetable registration printing of examination materials examination forms etc.); storing and entering data on the results of examination assessment into the Registrar system by the Head of Discipline;
9. coordination of on-campus access arrangements for employees students of the School;
10. organization and carrying out of the procedure of signing contracts of educational services for CPS of the University with the attendees;
11. assisting in the organization of the Orientation Week for the Schools attendees;
12. reservation of lecture rooms at the request of the Schools faculty for the organization of the educational process.
13. preparation of analytical materials presentations information on individual tasks instructions of the immediate supervisor within the competence of the CPS;
14. participation in the processes of identification assessment management monitoring of risks within the supervised direction;
15. performs duties (replaces) Senior Manager and Manager (on academic issues) of the CPS during hisher temporary absence (for up to one month).
16. timely and properly executes the tasks of the tasks of the immediate supervisor and the Universitys management;
17. complies with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and internal documents of the University;
18. responsible for compliance with labor and service discipline;
19. is responsible for ensuring the integrity of official documents and prevention of the disclosure or leakage of confidential and business information as well as information of restricted access in accordance with the legislation Charter and internal documents of the Employer;

Qualifications :

Education: Higher-professional preferable from the higher education institutions with English language of instruction;

  Priority specializations:

- management in education;

- leadership in education;

- management;

- psychology;

- international relations;

- international business; or

- related specialties in the field of humanities

Work experience:

With a Bachelors degree / Specialist - at least three years;

At least 1 year with a masters degree in the relevant field.

Knowledge:

- Knowledge of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of education;

- knowledge of MS Office Excel PowerPoint programs
