The role
As Head of School you will lead a diverse and multi-disciplinary academic unit driving excellence across learning and teaching research and community engagement. Reporting to the Executive Dean you will be responsible for strategic planning operational management and the development of a high-performing collaborative culture. You will oversee academic programs guide staff development and ensure the schools activities align with the universitys mission and strategic priorities. A key part of the role involves building strong external partnerships and identifying opportunities for growth innovation and the commercialisation of expertise.
As Head of the Australian Graduate School of Policing and Security you will also oversee the Centre for Law and Justice a dynamic and interdisciplinary hub of legal and criminal justice education research and community service.
This position will be based at one of our main campuses although most likely at our Canberra campus. The Head of School will be expected to work from their home campus.
