The Glennie School is an Anglican school for girls in Toowoomba providing an exceptional education for Kindergarten to Year 12 students with boarding from Year 5. The School has over 700 students and enjoys an excellent reputation for the quality of its programs care and support offered to students as well as the commitment and dedication of its staff.
We are looking for a visible and relational leader to be our next School Chaplain who can walk alongside our students on their spiritual journeys in a full-time role.
With your independence resourcefulness and energy you will lead the communitys pastoral and wellbeing program supported by the Principal and Director of Students with spiritual leadership and wellbeing initiatives including teaching our students.
What you will be doing:
Building the spiritual ethos and Anglican identity of the School
Being a visible Christian presence and witness in the School community by actively finding effective ways to minister and build deep relationships with the Glennie community
Teach Religious Education classes in various year levels
Encouraging the spiritual journey for all members of the School community
Leading prayers and reflections across the School
About you:
You are a compassionate and thoughtful leader who will deeply align with our Anglican ethos and the Schools mission. You are self motivated and able to work independently.
You will be flexible and adaptable in your approach and bring an inclusive approach to all students parents and staff and our community. You are a strong and effective communicator.
You will have recognised qualifications in Theology and a recognised qualification in teaching and the ability to obtain Queensland teaching registration.
