Job Summary

The Glennie School is seeking a visionary and driven Head of Sport and High Performance to lead a dynamic high-performance sports program at one of Australias premier girls schools. With our unique Training for 2032 Peak Performance Program Glennie provides a nationally supported athlete development pathway for girls offering a structured foundation for school-age athletes to reach the top levels of competitive sport.

Working closely with the national and state sporting bodies that the School has partnered with you will build on Glennies reputation as Toowoombas leading school for girls sport championing participation performance and pathways.

This role is ideal for a leader with experience in elite or professional sport as an athlete a coach performance manager or program director who is ready to shape the next generation of female athletes. You will oversee a comprehensive Prep to Year 12 sports program mentor a talented team of coaches and staff and foster a performance culture that celebrates both individual achievement and team success.

You will:

  • Lead and support the delivery of exceptional sporting programs from Prep to Year 12

  • Provide strategic direction development and management of the Schools sport programs aligned with Glennies Training for 2032 Peak Performance Program and the Schools Strategic Plan

  • Offer inspirational leadership and mentoring to coaches and staff fostering a culture of professionalism teamwork and continuous improvement

  • Champion the Glennie brand by building partnerships promoting engagement and strengthening connections across our School local community and sporting networks

You will have:

  • A minimum of five years experience leading and managing a high-performance sports program within a school or professional sporting context

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing a strategic plan for sport with measurable outcomes and sustainable growth

  • A proven ability to lead motivate and mentor teams while inspiring young people to pursue excellence

  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple programs events and priorities effectively

  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with the capacity to engage confidently with students parents staff and external sporting bodies

The Glennie School is an Anglican school for girls in Toowoomba providing an exceptional education for Kindergarten to Year 12 students with boarding from Year 5.
