The Position:
We are looking to fill a first shift full-time positionin our packaging department. You will be partnered with an experienced operator and receive on the job training to learnthe skills needed for a fulfilling career in the printing industry.
Responsibilities:
- Independently monitors operates and adjusts various packaging equipment in multiple areas according to procedures.
- Accurately completes all necessary production packaging paperwork.
- Comparing documents to ensure that customer receives accurate inventory of items.
- Responsible for placing rolls in boxes as well as other items such as spacers insert and etc. without jeopardizing the machine production.
- Picking up rolls from press as needed to keep the machine production going.
- Troubleshoots minor equipment problems and resolves them with minimal loss of production.
- Must work well with others in a team environment.
- Recording of time and production for job costing.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area and press.
- Observe company work rules and safety regulations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Specific Skills Competencies and Qualifications:
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Good computer skills.
- Physical demands include standing long periods of time.
- Must have ability to lift up to 60lbs.
- Must have the ability to push/pull up to 100lbs.
