The Oregon Health Authority (OHA) Public Health Division (PHD) Immunization section in Portland Oregon is pleased to offer a rewarding career opportunity for the role of Immunizations Section Manager.

As the Immunizations Section Manager you will provide overall strategic leadership guidance and oversight to the Immunizations Section. This position is vital to the Oregon Health Authority (OHA). The role involves establishing and monitoring program objectives developing and implementing proposals and grants securing and maintaining funding sources to achieve program goals and ensuring the timely preparation and submission of reports and documentation required by grantors and advisory bodies.

What We Are Looking For

Minimum Qualifications: These qualifications must be visible in your application for consideration.

Seven years of supervision management or progressively related experience in public health public administration or a closely related field OR four years of related experience and a bachelors degree in public health public administration or a closely related field.

  • A masters degree in public health education psychology social work public policy public administration law or related field is preferred.

  • Experience or working knowledge of public health functions within state and local government agencies.

  • Experience collaborating with a diverse range of partners incorporating community input and implementing programs and policies that further health equity.

  • Extensive knowledge of public health immunization practices.

  • Leadership experience and proven ability in managing personnel including motivating directing coordinating and reviewing the work of professional technical and administrative staff.

  • Knowledge of budgeting contracting and financial management processes related to public health compliance and efficient use of resources.

  • Ability to facilitate Public Healths emerging role in achieving health equity.

  • Experience creating promoting welcoming and maintaining a culturally competent and diverse work environment.
