Your Role at Baxter

The Novum Pump Platform (NPP) is Baxters state of the art infusion platform designed to deliver life saving and life sustaining medication to our patients. Whether it is saving the life of a trauma patient or helping a family welcome new life into the world our pumps must meet the highest safety standards.
Responsible for assisting in designing developing implementing and evaluating optimal cost-effective projects and addition to providing technical support and service to these areas the incumbent may also perform the following functions: requisitioning defining initiating specifying and documenting.
What youll be doing:
Develop software in C/C and Python for embedded devices.
Write design specifications.
Write test procedures.
Attend and contribute to weekly team meetings.
Attend and participate in technical reviews of NPP project.
Act independently with minimal supervision to conduct smallerapproved projects.
Expected to make suggestion on improvements based on recent technical knowledge.
Able to contribute to cost estimating of major capital budget items and the spending of approved project funds.
Contribute to the planning and execution of components of the development process which apply to product revision or enhancement or a defined piece of a larger project.
Ability to manage routine small projects without assistance.
Investigate and analyze customer service problems and design improvement suggestions. Recommend design improvements.
What youll bring:
- Bachelor of Engineering degree in software Computer or Electrical Engineering or related with 1 years of experience or Masters with 1.
Familiarity with C/C
Familiarity with Linux a plus
Familiarity with Python MATLAB or other object-oriented programming languages
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated leadership qualities and problem-solving skills
Positive attitude team-oriented adaptive to change and collaborative
Training in concepts of Six Sigma quality techniques.

At Baxter we are committed to equitable pay for all employees and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $72000 - $99000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location skills and expertise experience and other relevant factors.
