Job Purpose
Were seeking a dynamic digitally-savvy strategist and hands-on collaborator to join our team driving impactful communications and proactive PR in one of our fastest-growing most strategic markets. Essential Job Functions
- Define develop execute and measure impactful comms strategies and programs that support China Commercial and Corporate Reputation objectives
- Identify and successfully secure proactive positive media coverage of Alcon Chinas business priorities communications narratives and programs in addition to managing Alcon China corporate digital channels
- Serve as the trusted communications advisor to the organizations most senior executives including the Alcon President of China shaping messaging that reflects strategic priorities and personal leadership styles
- Lead local executive visibility initiatives including keynote preparation media interviews and high-impact stakeholder engagements (internal and external)
- Lead issues and/or crisis response locally ensuring the right stakeholders are briefed and aligned on communications strategy and materials
- Manage third-party suppliers including agency partners
Standard Minimimum Requirements
- Education: University degree or equivalent
- Experience: at least 10 years of PR/Comms experience (healthcare experience required agency experience beneficial); results-driven self-motivated enterprise thinker comfortable working across remote teams and time zones and in a highly regulated industry; adept at succeeding in a matrixed environment; strong written and verbal communications; maturity to manage sensitive and confidential information; effective collaborator; continuous improvement mindset; digitally savvy and comfortable using AI / ML to deliver results; positive attitude and willingness/ability to find proactive compliant solutions to challenges
Language
The ability to fluently read write understand and communicate in English and Mandarin; proficiency in additional languages a plus
