Job Summary:

As part of UW-Madison Division of Extension Waupaca County this position provides clerical secretarial and customer/client support for the department. This position supports Extension Educators and works under the direct supervision of the Area Extension Director. Additionally this position provides support to educational program delivery for educators affiliated with Waupaca County Extension including the 4-H Program community development and human development & relationships. This position serves as first point of contact for individuals and groups providing basic organizational information via phone in person and through other communication mediums including website maintenance. This position will order supplies process invoices payment of vouchers bills and verify all accounting records in accordance with county and state policies and procedures. Collaboration with local colleagues to promote a positive office environment and share resources is a must!

County Location

The main office for this position is located in New London/Waupaca WI and the primary work focus is Waupaca County.

In Person

It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person onsite at a designated office work location.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Collects analyzes and prepares various communication materials from established sources utilizing technology mediums
  • Serves as a first point of contact for individuals and groups provides basic organizational information via phone in person and through other communication mediums and routes more complex inquiries to the appropriate entities
  • Maintains established methods and organizational systems directed at the maintenance of electronic/physical records related to work operations according to established policies and procedures
  • Schedules logistics and secures resources for meetings conferences travel and work unit operations
  • Sends receives copies and distributes communications to the appropriate entities according to established policies and procedures under general supervision

Compensation:

The minimum annual (12 months) starting Hourly Rate for the position is $18.36 but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications
