Temporary Import/Export Agent LAX (Open Availability Required)
I.K. Hofmann USA is seeking an immediate 90-day temporary assignment opening for an Import/Export Agent for our Los Angeles Cargo facility with the possibility of extending it to a long-term contract. We need ambitious detail-oriented individuals who are flexible can work different shifts and are available for weekends holidays and potential overtime.
Pay starting at $30.15/hr.
Key Responsibilities
- Process export/import inquiries per client requirements and procedures including handling discrepancies at acceptance.
- Prepare and finalize outbound flights/trucks.
- Handle import documentation (delivery transfer abandoned shipments).
- Accurately process all Air Waybills and HAWBs.
- Handle special cargo and perform service recovery activities (tracing warehouse checks offloads).
- Perform airmail handling.
- Support quality standards and follow documented procedures.
- Observe and apply security requirements.
- Contact customers and inform them of any irregularities.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED desired.
- Experience in cargo logistics or warehouse operations preferred.
- Must have open availabilityable to work variable shifts weekends holidays and cover for potential overtime as needed.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and remain stationary for extended periods.
- Proficient with computers and office equipment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
