The receptionist will greet guests that come to Health Plus Indiana. This role may also assist the Executive Director and Director of Finance with some tasks. Role may also include being asked to perform light secretarial duties as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate person or department.
Answer and manage incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner on a multi-line system.
Return main line phone messages and complete reminder calls.
Maintain a tidy and welcoming reception area and front lobby.
Manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries.
Provide administrative support to staff as needed.
Ensure security and confidentiality of visitors information.
Assist with organizing events and special projects as needed.
Participate in any quality improvement and cultural competency programs as requested.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
General Qualifications:
Completed FAFSA on file demonstrating financial need.
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities including the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
Proficiency in MS Office Suites (Word Excel Outlook).
Knowledge of basic office equipment (e.g. printers multi-line phone system).
Be able to communicate well orally and work well with diverse student populations.
Maintains enrollment in eligible courses.
Maintain an aid-eligible Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) status.
Student must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or greater.
Projects positive image for Ivy Tech Community College.
Display a professional appearance and demeanor.
Must be dependable responsible and organized.
Must work cooperatively with others and accept direction from supervisors.
Must be able to practice confidentiality in all aspects of work.
Must have excellent customer service skills.
