Job Purpose and Impact
The Energy Support Specialist will be responsible for the coordination of contract settlement activities for internal and external customers to ensure consistency with commercial this role you will support governance across contracts pricing volume and futures assist with complex price builds for top customers and handle master data stewardship and daily communications with commercial teams internal stakeholders external vendors and customers
Key Accountabilities
- Validate supplier invoices and build and maintain monthly files to issue timely customer invoices.
- Calculate and handle contract pricing requests based on supply agreements and spot market prices and capture into database.
- Execute the new counterparty set up processes and maintain master data to ensure accurate and timely invoicing for settlements.
- Perform monthly back-to-back reconciliation and coordinate with the suppliers and commercial teams to find solutions for any differences.
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve any open statements on a timely basis..
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and the Energy commercial team to facilitate accurate and timely payments.
- Actively identify improvement opportunities and develop solutions including utilizing the root cause analysis process.
- Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience representing the business from a commercial perspective to customers.
- Minimum requirement of 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience with energy markets and or finance.
