This position is in Cargills protein and salt business where we provide wholesome high-quality food products to a wide range of customers from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Senior Account Manager will focus on our largest and complex national this role you will handle critical complex fresh (fast-paced) products that require excellent client relationship skills to maintain competitive positioning.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop account plans to establish and maintain account relationships and meet personal sales targets.
- Develop strong client relationships that provide significant input to planning product price and service strategies.
- Leading cross functional teams to provide value added services to accounts and provide solutions to help grow business.
- Provide leadership supportin developingnew market opportunities.
- Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma/certificate or bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of four years of related work experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (such as Excel PowerPoint)
- Experience in the food industry
- Previous working experience in PowerBI Salesforce and SAP.
- Availability to travel as need
- Possess a valid Canadian full class 5 drivers licence in good standing authorizing you to drive independently during the course of your employment
- Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Fresh product supply chain experience
- Experience in national retail key account sales
- Knowledge of case ready beef and or pork markets
