About the role Mō te tūranga mahi
We are looking for a Group Risk Manager to lead risk management in a dynamic tech driven environment. As our Group Risk Manager Tech & Data youll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering strategic risk initiatives across ACCs Tech & Data Group. Youll be embedded within the business leading a small team tasked with driving proactive risk identification control testing and governance alignment ensuring risk insights translate into meaningful action.
Youll work closely with senior leaders enterprise risk infosec privacy and audit teams to uplift risk maturity and embed a culture of transparency and accountability. From designing control testing programmes across cyber AI and data governance to leading proof of concept initiatives for emerging technologies this role is integral to the success of the Technology & Data Group at ACC.
Youre a seasoned risk professional with at least 10 years experience in a similar role ideally within the public sector or a crown entity. Youll have a recognised risk management qualification and/or a tertiary degree in business or a related discipline. Your strong working knowledge of risk and compliance standards is matched by your ability to influence communicate and lead with clarity and confidence.
You thrive in complex environments balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. Youre known for your ability to document complex information in plain language analyse data effectively and build trusted relationships across all levels. As a leader you empower your team through support delegation and a commitment to continuous improvement.

The full salary range for this role is $138301 - $195248 with appointment depending on skills and experience and internal relativities. ACC also offers 9% Superannuation.
