Role: Purchasing Support
Location: Hybrid - Central London
Hours: Full time
Salary: Depending on experience
As my clients business continues to expand were looking for a Purchasing Support professional to join our fast-paced commercial team in London. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly organised proactive individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys ensuring every process runs smoothly from order management to customer service.
Key Responsibilities: What will you be doing in the purchasing support role
- Order & Purchase Management Accurately process customer and purchase orders ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Supplier & Global Liaison Coordinate with purchasing teams across the UK China and the USA to ensure timely procurement and product alignment.
- Inventory & Contract Oversight Monitor stock levels review contract renewals update pricing lists and support quality tracking for assigned product categories.
- Customer Service & Communication Handle customer queries promptly and professionally maintaining clear communication with commercial logistics and quality teams.
- Documentation & Sample Coordination Send required quality documentation to customers and manage product sample requests in collaboration with internal teams and warehouses.
- Pricing & CRM Administration Prepare and send quotations log activity into the CRM system and support the Product Management team with pricing tasks.
Required Skills and Experience
- Experience in a purchasing procurement or supply chain support role.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret pricing data and evaluate supplier quotes.
- Excellent attention to detail and able to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables VLOOKUP formulas); experience with Power BI or similar BI tools is desirable.
- Familiar with CRM and/or ERP systems.
