Job Summary
A respected Independent School in Chelmsford Essex is seeking a permanent full-time English Teacher starting January 2026. This role offers the opportunity to cultivate sophisticated literary critique within a highly academic environment.

Responsibilities
- The English Teacher will deliver inspiring and rigorous tuition across Key Stages 3 4 (GCSE/iGCSE) and 5 (A-Level).
- The teacher is responsible for driving high attainment in critical analysis advanced essay writing and comprehensive literary subject knowledge.
- They must actively contribute to the schools literary societies and debating programmes.
- The teacher is expected to ensure excellent examination results for all pupils.
Requirements
- Holds or is soon to obtain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (desirable but not essential).
- Has the right to work in the UK.
- Holds a Degree or has experience teaching English.
