Job Summary
As a Solution Architect youll be responsible for designing and defining a sovereign backup strategy for a leading public sector organization. Your mission is to create a multi-region multi-cloud and on-premises backup solution that ensures data sovereignty resilience and compliance across all workloads.

Youll define backup policies assess potential providers and deliver a future-proof cost-effective roadmap that guarantees secure and compliant data management for years to come.
Responsibilities
Define backup policies (frequency full/incremental workload-aligned) for sovereign and cost-effective short-term backups
Evaluate alternatives such as native European providers managed services or on-premises solutions
Determine feasibility of one-size-fits-all or workload-specific approaches per landing zone
Define how the current on-premises implementation must evolve
Deliver Assessment Report Target Architecture Capability Model and 5-Year Roadmap
Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders
Design a future-proof backup architecture ensuring multi-region and multi-cloud resilience
Expected Deliverables
Assessment Report current state risks and gap analysis
Target Architecture conceptual and logical architecture diagrams
Capability Model recommendations per landing zone and workload
5-Year Roadmap phased plan with milestones dependencies and indicative costs
Final Presentation executive-level summary of findings and recommendations
Profile
Proven experience as a Solution Architect or Cloud/Backup Architect
Expertise in multi-cloud and hybrid architectures with focus on data sovereignty
Knowledge of Azure VMware Oracle and RESTful API integrations
Strong background in backup recovery and data protection systems
Strategic thinker with hands-on technical depth
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
