Location: Durham NC 27704

Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Guaranteed Hours: 32 hours per week

Weekly Pay Rate: $736 - $864; Depending on experience (negotiable)

Position Overview:

We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team in Durham NC. This is a 13-week temporary contract position offering a guaranteed 32 hours per week with a competitive weekly pay rate. The ideal candidate will assist physical therapists in providing patient care ensuring that clients receive the highest quality of rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist physical therapists in providing therapy treatments to patients in accordance with the treatment plan.
Implement therapeutic exercises manual therapy and assist with modalities like heat cold and electrical stimulation.
Monitor patient progress and report observations to the supervising physical therapist.
Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for rehabilitation and mobility.
Document patient progress and maintain accurate records in the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and infection control procedures.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.
Assist in maintaining equipment and therapy supplies.

Required Qualifications:

Education: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
Experience: 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
Licensure: Active Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) license in the state of North Carolina.
Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
