Job Summary
The Industrial Painter/Coater is responsible for applying paint coatings and finishes to industrial equipment machinery or manufactured products. This role ensures high-quality finishes that meet customer specifications while maintaining safety and efficiency standards.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare surfaces for painting or coating including cleaning sanding masking and priming.
Apply paint powder coating or other finishes using brushes rollers spray guns or automated equipment.
Monitor coating processes to ensure proper adhesion coverage and finish quality.
Inspect finished products for defects and perform touch-ups as necessary.
Maintain and clean painting equipment and work areas.
Follow all safety procedures including proper handling of chemicals and protective equipment.
Collaborate with production and quality teams to meet deadlines and standards.
Maintain accurate records of materials used and work performed.
Qualifications
Previous experience in industrial painting coating or finishing preferred.
Knowledge of painting/coating techniques materials and equipment.
Ability to read work orders drawings and specifications.
Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finishes.
Physically capable of standing for long periods lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various environmental conditions.
Strong safety awareness and adherence to workplace procedures.
