For over 100 years Maguire has been an industry leader in the fabrication construction and maintenance of water storage tanks and elevated water towers. The Industrial Maintenance Crew Member will be assisting the Foreman and crew with inspections clean outs and repairs of various style water towers. This person shall be trained in the proper use of all safety equipment for all different job tasks. This person will be responsible for safety quality and production standards and goals.

Essential Functions

• 100% tie-off when working on water tower.
• Assist in unloading equipment/rigging from maintenance rig.
• Operate/understand all rigging procedures.
• Document and inspect personal safety equipment daily.
• Document and inspect rigging equipment daily.
• Responsible for completing own time card.
• Assist in cleanup of job site daily and at the end of the project.
• Communicate with foreman on tasks to be done and game plan for the day.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to accept responsibility and account for own actions
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in written form
• Dependable and trustworthy

The ideal candidate must have working knowledge of all job specific operating procedures be extremely quality conscious and detail oriented have a minimum of three years sandblasting and painting experience have one to two years of safety experience accept responsibility and account for own actions have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision be able to build solid relationships with internal and external customers be dependable and trustworthy and have basic computer skills.

Work Environment:

• Must be able to work outside in both a hot and cold environment.
• Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work.
• Must be able to see details at close range.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
• Must be able to traverse construction sites by climbing balancing lifting walking stooping and carrying materials.
• Must be able to climb up to heights of 200 feet.
