Job Summary

Our Rail Transit team is seeking a Lead Structural Engineer to work on various projects in the DMV Area. This position will require extensive knowledge of light rail systems and executing transit projects.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with diverse disciplines in horizontal and vertical structural design delivery including but not limited to structural civils environmental social finance and economics..

  • Review engineering design plans specifications and estimates in accordance with applicable design codes.

  • Ability to work as part of a team to provide deliverables and meet deadlines.

  • Ability to check drawings and to coordinate with clients (architects other engineers general contractors etc.).

  • Provide assistance to ensure that drawings calculations and designs are in accordance with company production and design standards and strengths and follow Quality Assurance and Control procedure.

  • Assist in the preparation of project data for schedules assist in preparing schedules and budgets in order to monitor progress reports.

  • Ability to provide quality control/quality assurance to ensure deliverables are of high quality and on-time.

  • Assist with proposal preparation and business development efforts including supporting pursuit strategies contributing technical input and helping to capture and deliver new work opportunities.

  • Lead and mentor junior team members by providing technical guidance delegating tasks and fostering a collaborative environment to ensure high-quality project delivery.

  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Civil/Structural Engineering requires of equivalent international charter with 10 years experience of Rail and Transit.

  • Well versed in structural analysis and building behavior.

  • Shall have solid project management skills client relationship management and adept in vertical and horizontal engineering principles and code.

  • Client focused always striving to give clients the best solutions.

  • Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients toughest challenges.

  • High levels of integrity always doing the right thing in an ethical fair and sustainable way.

  • Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team working together toward technical excellence.


Additional Information

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment we have provided the base compensation range of$153000 - $230000 annually for this position and local market.
