A Day in the Life

In this dynamic role as a Senior PD Project Management Specialist you will have responsibility for overseeing the operational aspects of new or ongoing projects. You will leverage a cross-functional team to manage different project types including gross margin initiatives regulatory requirements process improvements and others. We are looking for a team member who is detail-oriented analytical organized confident and an effective communicator.

This opportunity is for a full-time position. This position will be based onsite in Jacksonville Florida.

Leads reoccurring cross-functional core team meetings to track project task execution. Prepares agenda facilitates discussion takes and distributes meeting minutes. Monitors known risks and escalates both technical and logistical roadblocks. Facilitates working sessions among core team members. Develops and manages established project schedules to maintain metrics for project scorecards. Organizes documentation updates to the Design History File (DHF) and executes associated change control in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). Tracks open Purchase Orders and provides inputs to budget forecasting.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to.

  • Leads or leverages cross-functional teams to evaluate develop and manage projects for ongoing lifecycle management of products processes and therapies.
  • Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning project team and management.
  • Develops project schedules.
  • Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
  • Monitors the project from initiation through delivery.
  • Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity quality and stakeholder satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with the project team and leadership.
  • Gathers requirements works on requirements planning requirements elicitation and requirements management to ensure they meet demands of projects key stakeholders.
  • Communicates with stakeholders obtains stakeholder engagement to ensure the end products or processes will solve the business problems.

Qualifications

Must-Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Requires a Baccalaureate degree
  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience OR Masters degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience OR PhD with 0 years relevant experience.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience supervising or managing others.
  • Experience working in medical device or other regulated industry.
  • Experience managing and leading projects that involve balancing risk influencing diverse teams and responsibility for outcomes.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$112000.00 - $168000.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience certification/education market conditions and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
