The Data Partner is a business-driven analytic-minded data expert who is fully integrated into the domain squad (alongside PMs Engineers and Business Representatives). They proactively identify improvement opportunities unblock data friction points and deliver fast reliable insights that fuel growth efficiency and value.
The Data Partner is constantly scanning for untapped revenue streams unaddressed challenges and information gaps then leveraging data insights to tackle them. By blending deep analytical know-how with a forward-looking business mindset the Data Partner ensures that every decision in the domain is grounded in actionable intelligence.
This role is not a passive responder to requests but a proactive contributor who understands and impacts the domain strategy anticipates business questions and drives the analytical agenda. Working closely with Analytics Engineers and the Data Platform Team the Data Partner also helps define and evolve the data model to ensure analytics is scalable consistent and aligned with business priorities. Additionally in collaboration with Data Scientists they proactively identify opportunities for domain-specific algorithms advanced analytics and data-driven innovations that deliver incremental business value.
Key responsibilities
Drive the data agenda in the domain
Develop a deep understanding of the domains business goals workflows customer interactions and operational levers.
Proactively propose and execute analytics projects that improve decision-making uncover hidden opportunities or resolve performance bottlenecks.
Stay ahead of business needs; surface insights before theyre asked for.
Deliver high-impact analysis & dashboards
Own end-to-end analysis cyclesfrom framing questions gathering requirements and querying data to presenting actionable recommendations.
Implement and monitor domain-specific A/B tests ensuring rigorous methodology reliable tracking and clear interpretation of results to drive impactful business decisions.
Design and maintain domain-specific dashboards and metrics ensuring clarity trust and usability.
Prioritize work based on business impact not just request volume.
Influence and co-own the data model & semantic layer
Collaborate with Analytics Engineers to ensure both data models and the semantic layer reflect current business logic metrics are consistent and source tables are usable and documented.
Identify gaps or inconsistencies in the data model or semantic layer that block insight generation and work with relevant teams to resolve them.
Contribute to modeling standards and promote reuse across domains.
Embedded collaboration & communication
Participate in all domain rituals (stand-ups sprint planning retrospectives) as a core squad member.
Act as the data point of contact for PMs Engineers Designers and Business Representatives within the domain as well as for other company stakeholders.
Partner with Data Scientists Analytics Engineers and the Data Platform team when advanced solutions or broader enablers are needed.
Promote data self-service adoption within the domain by empowering stakeholders providing guidance training and ensuring availability and ease-of-use of analytical resources and tools.
Champion decision-making culture
Promote data literacy and ensure stakeholders understand how to interpret and act on insights and KPIs.
Help define success metrics for new initiatives or features.

Qualifications :
Qualifications
Experience & background
4 years in a data analytics business intelligence or strategy role preferably embedded within product or business teams.
Proven experience partnering with Product Managers Engineers or business stakeholders to shape and deliver analytics work that drives decisions.
Demonstrated track record of independently identifying business problems and solving them through data.
Analytical & technical skills
Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with at least one modern BI tool (e.g. Tableau Looker Power BI Metabase).
Comfortable exploring data independently building robust dashboards and performing deep-dive analyses.
Understanding of data modeling concepts and experience collaborating with data engineers or analytics engineers.
Business insight & communication
Ability to understand the strategic goals and operating context of a business domain and translate them into data questions.
Excellent communication skillsable to frame problems clearly tell stories with data and adapt messaging to technical and non-technical audiences.
Skilled at defining KPIs structuring metrics and influencing how success is measured.
Proactivity & mindset
Strong sense of ownership; driven to anticipate and solve problems rather than react to requests.
