Job Summary

This role will primarily be responsible for maintaining account reconciliations which includes preparation and analysis of assigned accounts - primarily related to Indirect Taxes.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Perform moderately complex balance sheet reconciliation activities focusing on Indirect Tax Accounts.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation and review of the assigned account reconciliations.
  • Timely and accurate reporting of reconciling items for correction and adjustments with Tax Returns.
  • Ensure reconciliations are prepared and reviewed in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley internal policies audit procedures and regulations.
  • Escalate issues and recommend resolutions to the manager or stakeholders for timely resolution.
  • Document and the SOP/DTP of current processes and incorporate documentation updates as required.
  • Contribute in various and simultaneous process improvement initiatives to streamline processes improve customer experience and increase productivity.
  • Assist in audit-related activities.
  • Contribute specialized expertise to different assigned projects and may provide key updates to Manager.
  • Document reconciliations using specific tools as Blackline.
  • Implement and use workflows to enhance process efficiency and drive faster execution

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting / Finance or equivalent relevant courses
  • 3-4 years of relevant professional experience in Finance or Accounting
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office tools
  • CPA is an advantage but is not required
  • Working knowledge and understanding of accounting standards and procedures and internal controls.
  • Experience working with ERP e.i. Oracle and Blackline Systems is an advantage or other similar platforms and tools
  • Familiarity/ exposure to Indirect Taxes
