Mechanical QA

The Mechanical QA Engineer is responsible for ensuring all mechanical installations and systems meet project specifications regulatory standards and quality benchmarks. This includes developing inspection plans conducting audits and supporting commissioning activities across K&M projects. 

• Develop and implement mechanical QA/QC plans and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs). 

• Conduct inspections and audits of mechanical systems (HVAC pipework public health). 

• Ensure compliance with drawings specifications and industry standards. 

• Manage documentation including method statements QA checklists and non-conformance reports. 

• Support testing and commissioning activities (e.g. pressure tests functional tests). 

• Collaborate with project managers engineers and subcontractors to resolve quality issues. 

• Maintain accurate records of inspections tests and corrective actions. 

• Provide technical guidance and training to site teams on QA/QC procedures. 

• Assist in preparing handover documentation for client acceptance. 

Qualifications :

• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services. 

• Minimum 35 years experience in mechanical QA/QC within construction or M&E. 

• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and installation standards. 

• Familiarity with UK building regulations and QA/QC frameworks. 

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QA/QC software tools. 

• SMSTS or CSCS 

• Excellent communication organisational and problem-solving skills.
