Job Summary
We are currently looking for an electrical technician with experience working on energy-related projects in an industrial setting. You will contribute to the smooth delivery of projects in the pulp and paper industry on-site at the facilities of our client Domtar in Windsor. This is a good opportunity to leverage your technical skills in the framework of projects involving industrial electrical and automation systems.
Primary responsibilities
- Industrial and energy sectors
- Participate in the design of drawings and specifications for the installation of industrial electrical systems (medium and low-voltage power distribution auxiliary services motor control etc.).
- Estimate required material and workforce quantities.
- Prepare and analyze bids and tender documents.
- Conduct tests and initialize systems.
- Perform on-site technical information surveys.
- Conduct inspections and tests at equipment manufacturers facilities.
- Supervise electrical work with contractors.
- Conduct tests and perform electrical measurements.
Qualifications :
- Electrical technician
- More than 10 years of experience
- Analytical skills and ability to propose solutions tailor-made to the clients needs
- Attention to detail and delivering high-quality work
- Practical knowledge of computer-assisted design tools such as AutoCAD (an asset)
- Command of the French language (spoken and written)
- ASP Construction card
