We are seeking Experienced Cooks to join our culinary team in Montréal Canada. As a key member of our kitchen staff you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes maintaining food safety standards and contributing to menu development.
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and quality standards
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and timely service
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment adhering to food safety and sanitation regulations
- Assist in menu planning and recipe development incorporating seasonal ingredients and culinary trends
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment ensuring proper use and cleanliness
- Manage food inventory and minimize waste
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff
- Adapt to fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications :
- 3-5 years of professional cooking experience in a restaurant or similar setting
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques food preparation and presentation
- Proficiency in operating various kitchen equipment and tools
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
- Team player with strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure
- Knowledge of various cuisines and cooking styles
- Understanding of dietary restrictions and food allergens
- Culinary degree or diploma preferred
- Current Food Safety Certification required
- Flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays as needed
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
- Bilingual in English and French preferred given the job location in Montréal
