Job Summary
As a Data Engineer joining Logic20/20s Advanced Analytics practice youll help clients scale their data solutions and make data driven decisions while driving enterprise-level innovation.
Youll work closely with the client to understand both their business processes and analytics needs to design and build data pipelines and cloud data solutions. You will have the opportunity to guide your client through best practices in data lake data processing and data pipeline design to help them achieve their business goals.
You willwork closely withyour team including analysts dashboard developers and technical project managers to design solutions and work together to deliver aworld class solution.
Youll strike a balance oftechnical skillsand business acumen tohelp clients better understandtheir core needs and what is possible for future state.
What youll do:
- Build and maintain ETL geospatial data pipelines using Apache Spark and Apache Sedona
- Optimize Spark jobs for performance and cost
- Communicate at the appropriate level to both business and technology teams to understand business needs and pain points
- Be creative in meeting the clients core needs with their technology
- Explain technical benefits and deficits to non-technical audiences
- Learn new data tools and best practices
Qualifications :
Required:
- 5 years of data engineering experience.
- Proficient in Python (rioxarray GDAL rasterio
geopandas dask) and SQL for geospatial analytics - Experience in remote sensing (optical and/or LiDAR SAR) including preprocessing and derived insights for forestry and/or wildfire applications.
- Strong experience with Apache Sedona and cloud-native formats (GeoParquet COG Zarr) and data access via STAC APIs.
- Experience building and maintaining automated geospatial data pipelines in AWS (S3 Sagemaker Lambda Step Functions Airflow)
Preferred:
- Experience applying ML techniques to geospatial data for predictive modeling classification and anomaly detection.
- Familiarity with PyTorch TensorFlow or scikit-learn in geospatial contexts.
- Experience working within the Utilities industry
- Consulting experience
Additional Information :
At Logic20/20 we believe in recognizing and rewarding exceptional talent. Logic20/20 offers a competitive compensation package with a target base salary range of $148K - $161K. The final base salary offered is dependent on factors such as relevant experience skills qualifications and location. Eligible employees may also qualify for performance-based bonuses and other incentives.
