Are you a results-driven leader with a passion for luxury hospitality

Join the iconic Manly Pacific Hotel MGallery as our Director of Operations and play a pivotal role in delivering operational excellence outstanding guest experiences and exceptional team performance.

As Director of Operations you will provide strategic direction leadership and management support ensuring all departments work cohesively to achieve the hotels objectives and uphold the MGallery philosophies.

You will lead and support the Front Office Manager Executive Housekeeper Chief Engineer Restaurant Manager and Conference & Events Manager to ensure seamless operations and excellence across all areas of the hotel.

In this key senior leadership position youll collaborate closely with the General Manager owners suppliers and contractors to drive performance profitability and brand integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight to all departments ensuring exceptional guest service operational efficiency and cost control.
  • Lead and support the Front Office Manager Executive Housekeeper Chief Engineer Restaurant Manager and Conference & Events Manager to drive high performance and teamwork.
  • Monitor reservations guest feedback and market trends to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and growth.
  • Analyse financial and service performance managing budgets wage control and expenses to optimise profitability.
  • Conduct regular inspections to maintain cleanliness hygiene and compliance with State Federal and brand standards.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration empowerment and ongoing professional development aligned with MGallerys People & Culture philosophy.
  • Manage and strengthen relationships with owners suppliers and contractors to uphold operational excellence and brand integrity.
  • Champion MGallerys guest service vision by delivering personalised memorable experiences and proactively engaging with guests to resolve issues.
  • Ensure adherence to Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) standards promoting a proactive safety culture and maintaining safe hotel operations.
  • Represent MGallery and Accor with professionalism enhancing the hotels reputation and actively promoting its services and brand initiatives.

Qualifications :

We would love to hear from you if you:  

  • Minimum 45 years senior leadership experience in premium hospitality or airline industries with a proven track record of driving operational success and implementing effective business strategies.
  • Strong leadership and entrepreneurial qualities with the ability to inspire motivate coach and develop high-performing teams.
  • Analytical and strategic thinker with excellent decision-making skills commercial acumen and adaptability to a fast-paced environment.
  • Outgoing self-motivated and results-driven with a genuine passion for luxury hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Sound knowledge of current hospitality trends operational best practices and alignment with MGallery values and the Accor Heartist culture.
  • High personal integrity and flexibility to work a 7-day roster as required by hotel operations.
