We are seeking a talented individual to join our Credit specialty team at Marsh. This role will be based in Auckland. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
We will count on you to:
Developing new business opportunities from existing portfolio and other sources. A key focus of this role will be growth oriented and the ideal candidate will have a strong acumen to originate and win new business
Managing the existing New Zealand wide portfolio
Proactively identify and develop new Trade Credit and Credit Specialty prospects / opportunities independently and with support from regional credit specialty teams and business development executives and assume an annual new business target associated with this
Maintain active partnerships with insurers and clients including executive level in identifying risks and opportunities provide recommendations and decision support for business strategy and performance
Execute new business initiatives opportunities and provide timely status updates
Manage insurance submission and placement; work independently or with internal specialists to deliver products and services to the target client to convert the prospect
Independently manage newly acquired key Trade Credit and Credit specialty accounts and be responsible for key deliverables and revenue
Ensure operational excellence reporting and compliance.
Meet and exceed service standards agreed in the clients service agreement
Assist the Head of Specialty with the preparation management implementation and achievement of team/unit business plans and goals
Attends and participates in industry events and conferences to build up a strong professional network maintain proximity to the relevant market and represent the Company
Contribute towards the Companys profit objectives through the effective management and attainment of revenue and expense budgets
Maintain an active and direct involvement in all claims related matters
Collaborates with senior level colleagues and project specialists to identify key decision makers account needs and underlying risks to determine potential services products and combinations that will best serve and address client business objectives business compliance to expand accounts.
What you need to have:
Experienced in working with large corporate organisations
Bachelors degree in accounting Commerce Economics Finance or Banking preferred
Level 5 qualification or plans to achieve within required legal timeframe
Strong credit insurance knowledge with related work experience.
Possess broad technical knowledge across commodity finance trade finance etc.
Pro-active and able to work independently.
Good communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
Strong relationships building skills
A self-starter with a proactive and energetic approach
Be confident interacting and presenting to clients
A strong sense of being inclusive and understanding diversity in the workforce
Travel may be required on occasion
