The Manager Risk Culture is responsible for supporting the AVP Risk Culture in fostering a robust sustainable and risk-aware culture across the organization. This role involves curating content and managing the development of training materials monitoring metrics to track the effectiveness of risk culture initiatives and providing logistical support for communications and training programs. The Manager will collaborate with the team to promote a strong risk-aware culture that is continuously improved.
Position Responsibilities:
Training and Development (40%)
Manage the development of comprehensive training materials on risk management principles and practices.
Coordinate the implementation and delivery of training programs to ensure all employees understand their roles within the Risk Management Framework.
Collect and analyze feedback to continuously improve training programs and communication strategies by translating the feedback into actionable plans.
Metrics and Monitoring (30%)
Contribute to the development implementation and maintenance of risk culture policies and procedures.
Collect transform and analyze risk culture data to provide actionable insights ensuring adherence to data governance requirements.
Monitor and analyze metrics to assess the effectiveness of risk culture initiatives identifying trends and root causes to help with devising strategic solutions for improvement.
Logistical Support (30%)
Provide logistical support for communications and training initiatives ensuring seamless execution and delivery.
Coordinate with internal teams to facilitate open dialogue and consistent messaging across all three lines of defense.
Provide support to align risk culture initiatives with broader enterprise risk management strategies and integrating risk culture considerations into strategic business and operational planning.
Required Qualifications:
Background in Risk Management Organizational Development Communications or a related field; bachelors degree preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the financial services industry with a focus on risk culture change management or enterprise risk.
Experience in supporting the design and implementation of training and communication programs.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to monitor and report on key metrics.
Excellent organizational and logistical skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Understanding of regulatory expectations related to risk culture (e.g. OSFIs Culture Risk Management guidance).
