Cloud Engineer

• Implementation and maintenance of Azure AWS and OCI IaaS SaaS and PaaS cloud solutions.
• Support of existing cloud solutions including cost performance and reliability.
• Maintenance and documentation of backup and recovery systems within Azure AWS and OCI.
• Supports DevOps practices for infrastructure and security management.
• Supports application and security architecture and design across multi- and hybrid cloud platforms.
• Provides necessary written documentation and knowledge transfer to stakeholders and team members within the working group.
• Provide support and an escalation point to systems administrators.
• Support cloud networking functions in collaboration with the global networking team.
• Support cloud implementation policies and security guardrails.
• Be involved in the decision-making process for new solutions in the Crane cloud environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Ability to work in and automate routine tasks through code pipelines.
• Approach problems systematically with a strong sense of ownership and motivation.
• Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools such as Puppet Ansible PowerShell Azure ARM Pulumi or Terraform.
• Familiarity with pipeline-automation tools such as Jenkins CodePipeline Azure DevOps GitHub Actions CloudFormation or other similar tools.
• Knowledge of Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Azure Container Instances AKS and AWS services.
• Comfortable working in a Linux environment.
• Preferably experienced with SQL and Oracle databases.
• Understanding of core Azure AWS and OCI services.
• Capable of maintaining Office 365 services including Exchange Online Microsoft Teams SharePoint Online OneDrive etc.
• Demonstrates a Site Reliability Engineering mindset when supporting reliability and incident response practices.
• Excellent client service communication and documentation abilities.
• Strong analytical skills with the capacity to resolve complex technical issues.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to explain technical problems to non-technical audiences.
• Knowledge of security and IAM/RBAC practices within a multi-cloud environment

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Over two years experience in Microsoft Azure
• Over one years experience in Amazon Web Services
• Experience working within an Agile/Scrum-focused organisation.
• MS/BS degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.

Work Arrangement: This is a remote position. The successful candidate will not need to work on-site and can be based anywhere in Australia as long as they have reliable internet access and can collaborate effectively across different time zones.
