The Legal Administrator will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of the legal department. This position is responsible for overseeing administrative processes supporting attorneys managing office systems and ensuring adherence to industry regulations and firm policies. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational communication and leadership skills along with a strong understanding of legal procedures and terminology.
Responsibilities:
Supervise the daily operations of the legal office including administrative staff oversight
Develop implement and maintain efficient administrative systems and processes
Draft edit and manage legal documents contracts correspondence and reports
Maintain comprehensive and organized physical and electronic filing systems
Schedule and coordinate meetings hearings and court dates for legal personnel
Liaise with clients courts government agencies and external vendors
Assist with billing invoicing budgeting and financial reporting for the legal department
Ensure compliance with all applicable legal regulatory and internal requirements
Support attorneys with case management trial preparation and discovery
Conduct basic legal research and compile relevant information as needed
Maintain confidential information with the utmost discretion and professionalism
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Legal Studies Business Administration or a related field.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a legal administrative office management or similar role
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal management software
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational multitasking and time-management skills
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
High degree of professionalism discretion and integrity
Compensation & Benefits:
Annual Salary: $50000 - $85000 (based on experience and qualification)
