Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end purchasing activities for assigned vessels
- Source evaluate and negotiate with local and international suppliers for marine spare parts provisions deck/engine stores lubricants and other vessel requirements
- Review requisitions from vessels and verify specifications and approvals
- Obtain and evaluate quotations through comparative statements and recommend the best options based on price quality and lead time
- Issue and manage Purchase Orders (POs) in line with company policies and vessel schedules
- Coordinate deliveries with suppliers logistics teams and vessel agents to meet vessel port calls
- Monitor order status follow up on delays and resolve supply-related issues promptly
- Ensure compliance with budget constraints and approved vendor lists
- Maintain supplier database and evaluate supplier performance regularly
- Work closely with Technical Superintendents Vessel Managers and Crew Departments to align procurement needs
- Support cost-saving initiatives and procurement process improvements
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping in the procurement system
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Business Administration Maritime Studies Supply Chain Management or related field
- Minimum 2-3 years of purchasing experience preferably in a ship owner ship management or marine procurement environment
- Strong knowledge of marine spare parts vessel operations and technical requirements
- Excellent negotiation communication and vendor management skills
- Strong time management urgency in delivery coordination and ability to work under pressure
- High level of accuracy organization and accountability
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel Word Outlook)
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced multinational environment
