Utility Services Administrator

About The Role:

As the Utility Services Administrator youll play a pivotal role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of electricity water and gas invoices across three Councils - City of Charles Sturt City of Marion and City of Port Adelaide Enfield. Success in this role means maintaining precise records identifying anomalies in usage data and supporting the optimisation of utility contracts and services.

Youll be the go-to person for utility providers internal stakeholders and data insights helping to drive smarter energy use and cost-effective solutions. Your contributions will directly support sustainability initiatives and improve operational efficiency across the Councils.

About You:

As the successful candidate you will:

• have a qualification in Business Administration or a related field and/or equivalent experience and hold a current Drivers Licence
• have experience working within a utility function and have familiarity with national energy market legislation and contract management
• be confident using digital platforms including Excel and asset data systems
• have strong organisational skills to manage competing priorities independently
• be detail-oriented and skilled in accurate data administration
• understand utility billing structures and tariff calculations and have experience using data analysis to forecast and drive outcomes
• be a clear communicator who builds effective relationships with stakeholders
• be a problem-solver with a proactive solution-focused mindset.

About Our Team:

City Utilities - Utility Operations

Our team is responsible for managing the delivery of essential services including electricity water and gas across Council assets. We work collaboratively across three Councils to ensure efficient utility management support sustainability goals and deliver value to our communities. Were a team that values innovation accuracy and service excellence.

The Detail:

This position is offered on a full-time 12-month fixed term contract basis from 1 January 2026 and is classified at Level 4 with a starting salary of $94868.69 per annum Super Annual Leave Loading.
