Reporting directly to the Group Chief Medical Officer the Group Manager Clinical Governance Private Hospitals will be responsible for leading the development and execution of the Clinical Governance Framework across all St Vincents Private Hospitals. You will embed a culture of continuous improvement in patient safety and clinical outcomes.

This is a Permanent Full Time position based in any of our Group Head Offices in Sydney Brisbane or Melbourne

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Lead the development implementation and evaluation of the Clinical Governance Framework and Strategy for Private Hospitals

  • Provide support and expert advice and leadership to the Private Hospital Executive and Management Teams

  • Manage and oversee the Private Hospitals clinical quality and patient safety activities including compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements

  • Oversee and analyse clinical quality data reporting and benchmarking to drive continuous improvement in clinical outcomes

  • Support teams working in relation to Clinical governance across the three states that St Vincents Private operates in

  • Co-ordinate a national clinical governance committee and follow up actions and strategic priorities and projects

  • Identify and lead key clinical projects impacting clinical quality and safety using appropriate methodology to support timely outcomes

  • Demonstrated experience in a senior Clinical Governance role within a complex organisation within the healthcare industry

  • Exceptional leadership influencing and stakeholder management skills with the capacity to foster collaborative relationships

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills with a high level of professionalism and personal integrity

  • A drive for self-motivation and initiative combined with the ability to adapt to changes in circumstances

  • Minimum Clinical Health qualification (e.g. Nursing/Allied Health) and Post Graduate qualifications in management or a relevant discipline are desirable
