Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert has partnered with a small entrepreneurial company in the Baltimore area searching for a Sr. Accountant with small business and Quickbooks experience.
This role will be a contract-to-hire role and will be fully remote.

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable (AP): Manage vendor payments track invoices and ensure timely disbursements.
- Accounts Receivable (AR): Oversee collections implement and maintain a strong collections process and follow up on outstanding invoices.
- Forecasting & Cash Flow Management: Assist in financial forecasting and ensure accurate cash flow tracking.
- QuickBooks Online: Maintain accurate records generate invoices and ensure proper bookkeeping.
- Process Improvement: Identify gaps in current accounting workflows and implement improvements especially around collections and follow-up.
- Communication: Serve as a key point of contact for vendors and internal stakeholders ensuring clarity and responsiveness.
- Business Operations: Assist with scheduling purchasing vendor onboarding and maintenance develop operational best practices support bids and quotes to potential customers.
- BS Degree in Accounting Finance Business Administration or similar major
- Proven experience in accounting preferably in a small business environment.
- Strong understanding of AP/AR processes and collections.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an all hands on deck culture.
- Experience in forecasting and financial planning.
