Womens House is an initial point of contact for women trans and gender diverse folks experiencing or at risk of homelessness. We strive towards offering a safe and supportive space that offers brief intervention housing support as well as showers laundry hot meals and social inclusion. We interpret individuals experiences within a systematic framework that acknowledges external factors that perpetuate disadvantage; we commit to advocacy and action towards a more equitable and just society for the women trans and gender diverse folks we support.
Your day-to-day
- Utilising persistent and assertive engagement techniques to establish and maintain a professional relationship with service participants.
- Hold a caseload of 12 participants for up to 6 months
- Coordinate case conferences planning and exit planning in conjunction with referring agencies.
- Develop and foster positive relationships with local services and agencies
- Monitor progress and achieve program targets and outcomes
Were looking someone
With experience using assessment and case planning and case management skills who will be flexible and open to new and creative ways of achieving outcomes
With experience working in homelessness mental health and/or community settings
- Committed to working in a framework that is feminist intersectional and trauma informed
- With an appropriate degree relevant to the delivery of community services e.g. Social Work Psychology Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
You can look forward to
- A full-time fixed-term role until 30 June 2026
- $45.93 - $49.42 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)
