Nurturing ECT: DT Teacher (Food Tech) Inspire Culinary Skills in a Nurturing Environment Coventry
A vibrant community-oriented secondary school in the Coventry is looking for a DT Teacher ECT with a specialismin Food Technology to start in January 2026.
- ECT: DT Teacher (Food Technology) required from January 2026
- Coventry -based school with modern dedicated Food Technology rooms
- Ideal for an ECT passionate about nutrition hygiene and hospitality skills
You will teach KS3 DT rotation and lead the GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition course. Your induction includes specific mentorship on managing a practical food classroom stock control and budget management within a nurturing and safe environment.
Experience and Qualifications
- QTS or completing final training in Design and Technology (Food Tech/Catering)
- Confidence in safely managing a teaching kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of nutrition and food hygiene standards
- Organisational skills for managing ingredient ordering and inventory
