Job Summary:
The RN Manager Cardiac is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the Cardiac Medical Unit (CMU) under the direction of the Department Director. This leadership role ensures the safe high-quality delivery of care while promoting patient satisfaction staff engagement and operational efficiency. The Manager collaborates with physicians nursing staff and multidisciplinary teams to support the hospitals mission and strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert clinical oversight and leadership for the cardiac unit.
- Manage daily operations including staff scheduling patient rounding and optimizing patient flow.
- Lead initiatives to improve patient satisfaction and overall care experience.
- Participate in the development and assessment of staff competencies.
- Recruit interview and hire clinical staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations and implement performance improvement or disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Ensure unit compliance with state federal and hospital regulations and standards of care.
- Assist the Director with departmental budgeting and fiscal responsibility.
- Maintain quality improvement programs and monitor key performance indicators including core measures.
- Manage and monitor unit supply inventory and cost-effective resource utilization.
- Promote evidence-based practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- License: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of NH or compact state Required
- Education: 4 Year Bachelors Degree (BSN or equivalent) - Preferred
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1 3 years of relevant leadership or supervisory experience in an acute care setting Required
- Must have cardiac experience.
