Im recruiting on behalf of a well-respected security systems integrator who are growing their technical team and now looking for a Technical Engineer to join them focused on the projects side of the business.
This is a hands-on technical delivery role working across enterprise-level integrated security solutions. Youll play a key part in system build programming commissioning and remote/on-site support across a range of customer environments. Reporting directly to the Technical Director youll also collaborate closely with Project Managers to ensure a seamless handover and successful technical delivery at every stage.
What youll be doing:
Supporting the Technical Director with all aspects of technical delivery across projects
Carrying out system builds programming server and client OS installations SQL Server configuration and application commissioning
Providing enterprise-level support remotely and on-site when required
Working closely with Project Managers to phase projects schedule programming and plan commissioning activities
Leading the technical scope on projects identifying issues early and proactively managing risk
Supporting engineers across other teams and contributing to internal training
Playing an active role in customer training and documentation
Managing the technical aspects of licensing SSA tracking and renewals
Attending regular project meetings and reporting updates to both Technical and Project Management teams
What youll need to bring:
Strong technical background in integrated security solutions
Solid understanding of Windows Server& 2019
Experience configuring and managing Microsoft SQL Server () including creating and managing databases
Confident networking knowledge IPv4 TCP/IP VLANs firewall rules Layer 2/3 switching
Clear communication skills with a professional and customer-focused attitude
Experience planning and delivering technical elements of large-scale security projects
