The Opportunity

BlueScope Building Components is looking for a Production Manager to join the Operations team based in Novar Gardens SA. BlueScope Building Components a division of BlueScope in Australia manufactures and markets steel building products solutions and services through its four leading brands: Lysaght Fielders Ranbuild and Kiteleys.

As Production Manager youll be a leader of leaders responsible for coaching and developing frontline supervisors fostering a culture of safety and accountability and delivering operational excellence that supports our customers and communities.

What Will You Do

In this key frontline leadership position youll:

build capability across teams through mentoring and development opportunities
drive productivity and process improvement using data and performance insights to achieve results
lead with a customer-first mindset ensuring planned delivery schedules are met and quality standards maintained
collaborate across teams - including maintenance scheduling transport and salesto optimise production efficiency and resolve challenges
champion a safe inclusive and high-performing workplace where people are supported to do their best work
model agility and innovation to drive continuous improvement in systems processes and performance

Youre an experienced and people-focused leader who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You balance strong operational know-how with a commitment to developing and engaging others whilst building capability and delivering for customers. You lead by example with a focus on safety accountability and continuous improvement.

You will bring:

a strong understanding of customer needs with a commitment to delivering quality outcomes
extensive experience in production management - ideally within manufacturing or roll-forming coupled with a desire for long-term growth
demonstrated ability to lead through change driving improved productivity and operational efficiency
a growth mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and a willingness to take on new challenges
a genuine commitment to safety wellbeing and fostering an inclusive high-performing culture.
