Our flagship campus is in Sydney. We also have a vibrant office in Manila where many Canvanauts thrive in a buzzing hybrid environment. That means some days youll be at home and some days in the office whatever helps you do your best work.
What youd be doing in this role
As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA and thats all part of the fun. So while this gives you the flavour of the role today it will likely evolve.
At the moment this role is focused on:
Helping shape our communications function in the Philippines and broader Southeast Asia anchoring it in our global strategy while bringing a truly local lens.
Supporting our expansion across the region to raise awareness and understanding of Canva as a product and as a brand.
Leading and executing communications campaigns in partnership with local agencies adapting our global programs to resonate deeply in-market.
Driving media engagement and storytelling that inspires informs and invites people to explore Canvas mission of empowering creativity.
Creating consistent visibility in the region with a steady rhythm of media activities to support user growth brand affinity and product adoption.
Youre probably a match if
You have deep experience leading strategic communications campaigns in the Philippines and Southeast Asia across both corporate and consumer contexts.
You understand the local media landscape have strong relationships with press and know how to tell a story that lands in-market.
Youre confident working across geographies and time zones with a proactive autonomous approach to managing multiple deadlines and stakeholders.
Youve worked closely with agency partners and know how to get the best out of them.
You bring cultural sensitivity creativity and a strong sense of Canvas voice and know how to adapt global messaging to make it feel truly local.
Bonus: You have experience in public policy or crisis comms though its not a must.
Most importantly youre aligned with our values and excited by our mission to empower the world to design.

Youll be part of the Global Communications function specifically the International Comms team a group of passionate storytellers driving Canvas message into every corner of the world. We lead regional communications strategies that amplify our mission and highlight how Canva helps unlock creativity for millions of users globally.
From media relations and reputation management to B2B and B2C storytelling we work closely with internal teams and external agencies to ensure our communications are meaningful localised and aligned with Canvas brand.
